This lively village kilim was woven on a narrow ground loom in central Anatolia and features rows of small diamond “eye/ashik” motifs arranged in striking chevrons. Soft camel, ivory and tea-rose are punctuated by lipstick red, sap green and inky black—an uplifting palette that brightens any space.
Why this piece is special

Graphic chevron layout built from protective “eye/ashik” amulets; a classic village design meant to ward off misfortune and celebrate fertility and prosperity.
Vintage character (c. 1970s–1980s) with tasteful abrash (natural tone shifts) and a small, neat old repair—evidence of a life well lived and careful stewardship.
